VOSA Driving Hours Petition
The British Driving Society Chairman John Parker is in the forefront of the campaign to protect amateur equestrian interests in this matter. BHDTA urges all affiliated club members to go to the BDS website:

and look at the report from John Parker on the front page which talks about VOSA's possible interpretation of the regulations which would extend the restrictions on hours to anyone in any form of employment - not just commercial drivers.
Moreover John Parker refers to the possibility that the net might be widened even further to include lighter towing vehicles down to 3.5 tonnes.
All of us are urged to read John's report and then to send a copy of the BDS sample letter (downloadable from the site) to our MPs and MEPs.
