Horse height measurement
In Britain and America, the height of a horse is measured in hands.
One hand is equal to 4 inches.
In many other countries and for the purposes of international
competition, the height is given in centimetres.
The table on the left gives equivalent horse heights in hands,
inches and centimetres. |
